Ok, technically not a problem but more like a question about tuning suspension.

Recently at a track day, I realized that it takes a while for the suspension to bounce back after I release the front brake from a hard brake. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that after a hard brake, it takes a bit longer than I like for the rear tire to settle down to the point where I feel comfortable enough to turn the bike hard.

Does that mean I should change the rebound damping setting to softer or stiffer ?

While not a racer, some would suggest you're going into the corner too hot. Try smoothly backing the throttle off a bit sooner to get a more stable for/aft balance, this will allow you to get on the throttle sooner, ie. immediately after your turn in point. This can result in better drive off the corner (very desirable when there is a long straight section ahead).

Will try that next time I go to the track. In the mean time, I've already reduced the front fork rebound damping by one click and the same for rear compression damping. The bike seems to handle better.

I think it's time for me to take the Superbike school again.

Next time you are at a track day you also might want to take advantage of a suspension set up. Best $30 I ever spent.

I went back to Fontucky this past Saturday and got my suspension checked out by the suspension guru.

Turned out my rear spring needs to be changed to a stiffer one. I'm also changing my posture to move my butt further backward.

Hey Rob from the parts department, here I come !!!
